S1: Day 2 (2)
Jan. 2nd, 2023 11:22 amI'm waiting for lunch to cook. From there, I might eat, take a nap, and then dive into writing. The want is there, but much like yesterday my body feels weak. My eyes hurt and my head feels like it's floating. I'm secretly hoping for a snow day so I can avoid going back to the day job.
Just one more day at home to recover! Winter break was far too short. I'd use the day to write-a-thon. I'd like to write-a-thon tonight after the nap and necessary house cleaning is finished this afternoon. If I can write from about 3pm until 7pm, I bet I would get a lot done. I think this will be my goal. Perhaps I'll go even later. The dream is to make up for lost words that I should have written yesterday.
To do that, I need to remember where I left off in my outlines. I do have them written down on a note app. The problem is, it's one thing to see a one sentence line about what comes next and another to seamlessly write that idea into the document like it hasn't been touched for over a year. I need to reread the words I'd previously written to check for style and mood and all those artsy factors. Plus, as I'm writing, a lot of my ideas begin to shift or mold into something I can't summarize nicely in a sentence description.
In short: I have a lot of reading to do as well as writing. Reading that I wished happened over December, but I didn't budget my time accordingly to do it. It happens. It's not a big deal. All it means is I have to go at a slower pace than I'd originally planned. I'm learning how to be more relaxed about those plans getting messed up.
Currently...
Playing: "Disney Dreamlight Valley", level 22.
Reading: "Fairy Tale", Stephen King, audiobook. "Drizzle, Dreams, and Lovestruck Things", Maya Prasad, ebook.
Watching: "Stranger Things", season 1, netflix.
