S2: Day 47 (412)
Feb. 16th, 2024 06:46 amI focused on my physical health goals yesterday. I'll probably do that some more today. I feel like focusing on physical and mental health is where I need to be at the moment so I can build a better creative health.
This is what I mean by my word for the year is taking on a different flow than I thought. My word is "discipline" which is all about creating a solid routine even if it "hurts" sometimes. It does hurt because my brain doesn't want to change even though it knows that in the long run this is better for me. Change is hard, though. So hard. This week, I realized that I need to change a lot of my physical and mental health habits if I have any hope of creating again on a regular basis. So that's what I'm doing, focusing on good habits. I'm not napping as much. I'm eating better foods that stimulate my brain. I'm making sure to take long walks in the morning. I'm keeping the house cleaner. Once I maintain this for a couple more weeks, I can start a new stack of habit changes.
It's hard because the want to write is strong. The ability to do so is semi-present. If I attempt to do too much at once before I'm ready, I will burn out. Again. I know my word for last year was "reset", but I am still starting at an earlier level than I'm used to and that's a fact I need to remember.
Currently...
Playing: "Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes". "Assassin's Creed Valhalla", streaming on Twitch.
Reading: "Star Scrolls" ebook. "The Christie Affair" audio. "Sea of Monsters" print.
Watching: Amazing Race, Season 13. Psych, Season 4. The Traitors UK, Season 1.
