S1: Day 105 (105)

jillysriserIt's Saturday! And a low key, rainy Saturday at that. I'm currently in the process of drinking my coffee and then I'm going to start updating my websites. From there, I have some beta reading to do, and some library books to read.
It's a good day for reading and being cozy with the new cats. They are very cuddly, that's for sure! I like to read as much as I can. It helps me to 1) relax and not be too caught up in the world around me. It's important to take moments to breathe, you know? 2) I can see what other people are doing stylistically. I don't write based on trends in the industry, but I do study what other people do with how they tell their stories. POVs that are explored, sentence flow, etc. How many risks are being taken by authors, and could I get away with taking risks too?
Finally, if I don't remember what reading is like and how it makes me feel, then I will forget why I do what I do.

Playing: "Hades", streaming on Twitch. "Harvestella", ch 3 - Summer. "Legend of Dragoon", ch 1, also streaming. "Detroit: Become Human", also streaming.
Reading: "My Heart is a Chainsaw", ebook. "Our Share of Night", print. "Miss Me With That", ebook.
Watching: "Stranger Things" season 2.
